It seems that each year after the Masters tournament has ended, the Augusta National Golf Course begin their plans for new changes and additions. As for 2017, that’s absolutely right! According to USA Today and The Augusta Chronicle, it looks like one of the holes is getting a facelift.

The iconic 13th hole in Amen Corner is possible expanding due to a purchase of land from the Augusta Country Club. It’s said this change will make the hole a difficult one as opposed to being the easiest, according to the pros at the Masters.

If you’re not very familiar with the area of the course mention, and to give you a better vision of this. The Augusta Chronicle says in their article, “The sale includes the land on the Augusta National side of Rae’s Creek where Augusta Country Club’s current par-5 eighth green is situated as well as the stretch situated high above Augusta National’s border where the current 392-yard par-4 ninth hole is located. Carts and golfers playing the ninth hole were often visible to patrons in Amen Corner through the trees during the Masters.”
